About the Founder
IA STUDIO was founded in 2025 by A. Ikraam, an independent researcher specialising in the scientific and digital documentation of numismatic and cultural-heritage objects.
The initiative developed organically during an extended period of independent observational research, evolving into a structured programme that integrates detailed documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and independent laboratory analysis where appropriate.
During this period, A. Ikraam developed an AI-assisted analytical approach that combined traditional numismatic analysis with advanced digital imaging, comparative modelling, and structured reasoning tools under full human supervision.
This sustained programme of research formed the foundation for the IA STUDIO Hybrid Reasoning Framework – a structured method designed to connect computational interpretation with independently verified laboratory evidence in a transparent, reproducible way.
In 2025, the framework was demonstrated through the sixpence case, where structured computational reasoning, guided by human analysis, produced exploratory assessments that later corresponded with findings from independent scientific testing.
The findings were subsequently published by the British Numismatic Society Research Blog (2025) and followed by a short methodological contribution in The E-Sylum (Numismatic Bibliomania Society, 2025), discussing distinctions between laboratory evidence and interpretive tools in numismatic analysis. These publications established the groundwork for Edition 1.1 (2026), which documents the framework as a transparent, reproducible case study linking AI-assisted reasoning with laboratory verification in cultural-heritage research.
IA STUDIO continues to operate according to its original guiding principles:
Physical evidence, independent science where feasible, transparent documentation, and human-led interpretation supported by responsible computational tools.
